Hallmark Bingo
Assemble Your Crew
Gather your friends, family, coworkers, or anyone willing to brave a gloriously terrible holiday movie. The more players, the louder the laughter.
Build Your Bingo Cards
Create or print blank 5×5 Bingo grids. Everyone gets the same layout, with one free space ready to save your future sanity.
Choose Your Movie Sacrifice
Pick a totally random, Hallmark-adjacent holiday film from any streaming service. The lower the rating, the higher the entertainment value. (Prime Video is a goldmine of vague descriptions that make guessing downright thrilling.)
Study the Clues
Before pressing play, read ONLY the movie description and examine the poster or cover art. This is your oracle. Let it whisper all the predictable nonsense that awaits.
Craft Your Trope List
Based on those clues, come up with 24 holiday-movie clichรฉs you think will appear. Think cookie-baking montages, conveniently snowy nights, festive misunderstandings, a grumpy โScrooge,โ or a destiny-laden mistletoe moment. Sprinkle in a few unhinged possibilities. These movies love unexpected detours, and chaos makes the game sweeter.
Fill Your Cards
Everyone uses the same list of tropes, but each player places them wherever they like on their grid. Shuffle them strategically or chaotically. Both approaches work.
Press Play and Begin the Hunt
Start the movie and watch with eagle-eyed focus. When someone thinks a trope has appeared, pause for a quick vote: โDoes this count?โ Majority rules, and the box gets crossed off if the group agrees.
Race to Bingo
First person to connect five in a row wins. Victory can earn bragging rights, force losers to take a shot, or claim a tiny prize. Make your own stakes and enjoy the friendly chaos.
The Dollar Game
Invite Everyone to Bring the Goods
Each guest arrives with three fabulously wrapped gifts worth no more than a single dollar. The more dramatic the wrapping, the more intriguing the chaos.
Build the Prize Pile
All gifts go in the center of the table, forming a mysterious mountain of budget-friendly glory.
Set Up the Dice Stations
Place three sets of dice evenly around the table. Players sit in a circle and begin rolling, passing their set to the right after each attempt.
Claim Gifts with Doubles
If you roll doubles, you get to snatch a gift from the center. You also earn an immediate reroll, continuing until your luck runs cold. Once every gift has found a temporary home, the first phase ends.
Set the Countdown
Start a 3-minute timer. This is where the real shenanigans begin.
Steal with Style
During the timed round, rolling doubles now lets you take a gift from another player. No hard feelings; itโs part of the charm.
Hold What You Can
When the timer runs out, the game freezes. Whatever treasures youโre holding at that moment are officially yours to keep.
